AgentRPC MCP Setup Guide

Prerequisites
  • Ensure you have the AgentRPC TypeScript SDK installed.
  • Obtain your AGENTRPC_API_SECRET.

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Launch MCP Server

To start an MCP-compliant server for external AI models to interact with your registered tools, execute the following command:

ANGENTRPC_API_SECRET=YOUR_API_SECRET npx agentrpc mcp

Replace YOUR_API_SECRET with your actual API secret.

2. Integrate with Claude Desktop

To integrate the MCP server with Claude Desktop, modify your claude_desktop_config.json file as follows:

{
  "mcpServers": {
  "agentrpc": {
  "command": "npx",
  "args": [
  "-y",
  "agentrpc",
  "mcp"
  ],
  "env": {
  "AGENTRPC_API_SECRET": "<YOUR_API_SECRET>"
  }
  }
  }
 }

Replace <YOUR_API_SECRET> with your actual API secret.

3. Integrate with Cursor

For Cursor integration, update your ~/.cursor/mcp.json file with the following configuration:

{
  "mcpServers": {
  "agentrpc": {
  "command": "npx",
  "args": ["-y", "agentrpc", "mcp"],
  "env": {
  "AGENTRPC_API_SECRET": "<YOUR_API_SECRET>"
  }
  }
  }
 }

Replace <YOUR_API_SECRET> with your actual API secret.
