Installation

Clone the Repository
git clone <repository_url>
cd meilisearch-mcp

Create a Virtual Environment and Install Dependencies
uv venv
source .venv/bin/activate # On Windows: .venvScriptsactivate
uv pip install -e .
Configuration
Environment Variables

Set the following environment variables:
export MEILI_HTTP_ADDR=http://localhost:7700 # Default Meilisearch URL
export MEILI_MASTER_KEY=your_master_key # Optional: Default Meilisearch API key
Running the Server
Start the MCP server with the following command:
python -m src.meilisearch_mcp
Usage with Claude Desktop
To integrate with Claude Desktop, add the following configuration to your claude_desktop_config.json:

Testing with MCP Inspector
Run the MCP Inspector using the following command:
