Verodat MCP Server Setup Guide

Prerequisites

Ensure the following are installed and configured on your system:

  • Node.js (v18 or higher)
  • Git
  • Claude Desktop
  • Verodat account and AI API key

Quick Start

Installing via Smithery

To automatically install Verodat MCP Server for Claude Desktop using Smithery, execute the following command:

npx -y @smithery/cli install @Verodat/verodat-mcp-server --client claude
 

Manual Installation

  1. Clone the Repository:

    git clone https://github.com/Verodat/verodat-mcp-server.git
     cd verodat-mcp-server
     
  2. Install Dependencies and Build:

    npm install
     npm run build
     
  3. Configure Claude Desktop:

    • MacOS:

      Modify the configuration file located at:

      ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
       
    • Windows:

      Modify the configuration file located at:

      %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
       
    • Add the following configuration:

Getting Started with Verodat

  1. Sign Up for a Verodat Account:

    Visit verodat.com to create an account.

  2. Generate an AI API Key:

    Obtain an AI API key from your Verodat dashboard.

  3. Add the API Key to Claude Desktop Configuration:

    Ensure the API key is included in the Claude Desktop configuration as shown in the configuration step above.

Debugging

To debug the MCP server communication over stdio, use the MCP Inspector tool:

npm run inspector
 

This will provide a URL to access debugging tools in your browser.
